Cuba is known worldwide for its Havana cigars. The best fields of the world for tabacco are in the Pinar del Rio province and of course you will visit them.
But to smoke Havana cigars is more then a pleasure, it is a life style. And Cuba is the place to live it. In the is tour we fulfil the wishes of the epicure in you and the adventurer at the same time, and of course always with the Monte Cristo in between the teeth.
Day 1 : Welcome in the airport and transfer to your hotel in Old Havana. We propose Santa Isabel or another colonial hostal in Old Havana.
Day 2 : Breakfast in the restaurant of your hotel.
In classic american cars of the 50 ies we make a ride through a few parts of Havana City like Vedado and Miramar. We end up in the historic factory of ‘Romeo and Juliette’ where we get a complete tour of how they roll the Havana cigars. After this we give you your first opportunity of purchasing the best Havana cigars in the world.
Lunch is served in La Mina restaurant at the Plaza de Armas Square. In the afternoon we walk with your guide through Old Havana, Patrimony of Humanity by Unesco. We end our walk with a Daiquiri cocktail in the Floridita bar, famous hang out of Hemingway.
At night we invite you for dinner in one of the best restaurants in town, the Cafè del Oriente at the Plaza San Francisco.
Day 3 : Breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel
Today we leave early to the Marina Hemingway to go deepsea fishing. Your boat and captain are waiting for you, as well as the billy fish, ...
At midday at the Club Habana we serve a nice fish for lunch. At the beach of the club you can have your coffee and rum together with your Havana cigars of preference.
Dinner is free tonight but don’t forget that we pick you up for the famous Tropicana show.
Day 4 : Breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel.
We depart in the direction of Pinar del Rio province. In the region Vuelta Abajo we visit the tabacco farm of the famous Don Alejandro Robaina. We have a tour around the farm where we see the different processes from sowing to drying the tabacco, all by hand. With a bit of luck we meet the master himself.
We continue to Viñales where we have lunch at the restaurant casa de Don Thomas, in the centre of this small town.
Tonight we sleep in the hotel Vuelta Abajo in the centre of Pinar del Rio.
Day 5 : Breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel
In the morning we walk in the tobacco fields of the valley of Viñales, meeting with the farmers of the area and sharing their love for the leaves.
In the afternoon we return in direction of Havana but we stay at the Nature Park Las terrazas, in the beautiful Mokha hotel.
Day 6 : Breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel
In the morning we visit the ruins of a french coffee plantation of the 19 th century and the local community. We have lunch at the river San Juan where we can bath in the waterfalls.
In the afternoon we go back to Havana where we stay in the same hotel as earlier on.
Day 7 : Breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel
Day at leisure to enjoy your Havana cigars.
At night we invite you for a Havana cigars dinner in the intimate colonial house of the Duke of Villanueva. The absolute in Cuban tobacco gastronomy.
Day 8 : Breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel
Day at leisure to nejoy your Havana cigars and transfer to the airport.
