Cuba has a good road system with paved roads all over the island and even a highway in the west. The fly and drive Cuba tour of 14 nights

This 14 nights trip takes you the whole island through so you don’t miss a thing. Although you drive about 2000 km the program is made in a way that there is a lot of time free on the best spots so you can visit them on your own pace.
The hotels are basic 3 stars hotels which we reserve according to availability. We don’t guarantee a specific hotel but we guarantee that you are lodged on the places of the program. The hotels are in bed and breakfast, except in Varadero where you stay in all inclusive.
The car is an economic car for 2 persons. Bigger cars are given for parties of more persons or with a supplement. The insurance (10 euro per day) and gasoline are extra. Gasoline costs less then a euro per liter. Also a small fee is charged when a second person wants to drive the car.

Day 1 : You arrive in Havana or Varadero airport. We provide transfer from the airport to your Havana hotel. Overnight in Havana in bed and breakfast.

Day 2 : You will meet our representative who will give you all the vouchers for the stays and the car, a road description and a map. Overnight in Havana in bed and breakfast.

Day 3 : Overnight in Havana in bed and breakfast.

Day 4 : At 09.00 AM you can pick up your car near your hotel. Today you head west to the Province of Pinar del Rio where we suggest visits to the Las Terrazas nature park. Overnight in Pinar del Rio city or the valley of Viñales in bed and breakfast.
Minimum distance: 180 km.

Day 5 : Free day to explore the region. We suggest the valley of Viñales but you can take advantage of your car and check out the Valley of Quemado, the Valley of Isabel Maria or the Caves of Santo Thomas.  
Overnight in Pinar del Rio city or the valley of Viñales in bed and breakfast.

Day 6 : Today you have a long ride ahead to Trinidad. You should leave early in the morning. Worth a stop is the city of Cienfuegos.
Overnight in Trinidad or Trinidad beach in bed and breakfast.
Minimum distance: 500 km.

Day 7 : Today you have a free day. Don’t forget to visit the historic centre of Trinidad.
Overnight in Trinidad or Trinidad beach in bed and breakfast.

Day 8 : Today you have a half a day drive to Camaguey. On the way you can make a stop at Sancti Spiritus, one of the colonial towns of Cuba.
Overnight in the centre of Camaguey in bed and breakfast.
Minimum distance: 250 km.

Day 9 : Today you have half a day drive to Santiago. On the way you can visit the historic city of Bayamo and the pilgrimage site El Cobre.
Overnight in Santiago in bed and breakfast.
Minimum distance: 320 km.

Day 10 : Today you have a free day to discover the area of Santiago. The city centre and the area at the entrance of the bay are worth the visit. And of course the night life with the Casa de la Trova.

Day 11 : Today you have the long drive back till the city of Santa Clara.
Overnight in Santa Clara in bed and breakfast.
Minimum distance: 590 km.

Day 12 : Today it is the last drive to Varadero where an all inclusive resort is waiting for you.
Overnight in a Varadero beach resort in all inclusive.
Minimum distance: 180 km.

Day 13 : At 09.00 AM you have to give back the car to the local rental agency.
Overnight in a Varadero beach resort in all inclusive.

Day 14 : Overnight in a Varadero beach resort in all inclusive.

Day 15 : In due time we pick you up for your transfer to the Havana or Varadero airport.
